The new version (2022-04) of the IEC 62305-2 VDE 0185-305-2 standard on risk assessment for structural installations due to cloud-to-earth lightning now takes into account the introduction of thunderstorm warning systems as a preventive measure. In the current version, the risk of a direct impact on persons in open areas is introduced, taking into account the reduction of this risk by a thunderstorm warning system. Our systems comply with the required IEC 62793 standard.
