New corporate member

COPTR- Warn- und Schutzsysteme GmbH is a new member of the VDE. The Cologne-based company develops and produces innovative, precise acoustic-optical on-site warning systems. The warning systems automatically alert people in open areas to get to safety in time from lightning strikes and other potentially life-threatening weather and environmental hazards such as hurricanes, extreme heat or pollutants in the air. When asked why Managing Director Philipp Kominek chose the VDE, he answers: "Digital control technology, IoT/M2M communication, self-sufficient energy supply, preventive lightning protection and setting standards are important core topics in our business - and in the VDE. The VDE combines interdisciplinary expert knowledge and the best contacts and is thus a great support for the further development of our company."
